Crew Resource Management (CRM)

Primary flight training programs focus almost exclusively on the individual, technical knowledge, procedures and piloting skills. However accident statistics show that many problems encountered by flight crews have very little to do with the technical aspects of flying and are in fact a breakdown in crew coordination.

Crew Resource Management (CRM) is an idea borne of necessity to address this “human error” problem. CRM addresses the issue of flawed flight crew decision-making by improving crewmember communication and teamwork skills to work together toward the common goal of safety.
