Introduction
Unnecessary Weather Penetration was a factor in 30% of fatal accidents; 1 in 5 LOC-I accidents; and 44% of CFIT accidents between 2013 and 2017.
Strengthening tactical and operational decision making and weather situation awareness is critical to improving in-flight avoidance of adverse weather.
Combining both Human Factors and meteorological analysis methodology, this course will help ATCOs, pilots and dispatchers develop structured self-briefing strategies to enhance their weather situational awareness and that of their crew and staff. In addition, this course is designed to expand the skills you need to become a successful briefer. Whether its dispatchers briefing pilots or OCC staff; or an ATC shift briefing, or flight crew pre-flight briefing, this course is developed to specifically address how to prepare for and present effective briefings.
This one day (1 day) workshop is designed to train personnel to present detailed flight weather briefings and provide technical meteorological information to support operations.
The course will include such topics as:
Pilots, Air Traffic Controllers, Dispatchers, SAR, etc.
